Cordwyn
Macrame Cord Calculator for Android
Get it onGoogle PlayPrice: Free with ads. Optional one-time $1.99 purchase removes all ads.
Cordwyn works out the macrame math before you cut: how many cords to cut, how long to cut each one, and how much cord to buy. Enter your piece by width and cord spacing (or just the number of cords), choose folded (lark's head) or single strands, and add up to 10 sections, each with its own knot and finished length. Add a fringe length, a mount allowance and a waste percentage, and Cordwyn adds it all up for you.
Features
- Built-in knot presets: square-knot sinnet, half-hitch spiral, double half hitch / clove hitch rows, open / sparse pattern, plain hanging cord — each with an editable length multiplier
- Add your own knots with your own multiplier
- Filler cords for sinnets (2 filler + 2 working)
- Cord thickness swap: pattern written for a different cord? Scale every knot multiplier to yours
- Metric and imperial, switch any time without losing what you typed
- Cord to buy: spools or bundles to buy, cost, leftover
- Save, duplicate and rename projects, with notes; back up every project to a file and restore it later
- Share the cut list as plain text
- Light and dark themes, large touch targets
For wall hangings, plant hangers, bags, keychains and anything else made from knotted cord.
Cordwyn works offline: no account, no sign-in, and your projects stay on your phone.
Screenshots
Knot multipliers are editable estimates, not an exact measurement — try a swatch before cutting your good cord.
